Bolivian Time

Back in Canada I am consumed with the schedule, ¨When does this activity start? how soon do we have to leave to get there? No I can´t read you a story now because that would make me late for some other seemingly important event¨.

Here in Boliva, God through His infinite grace has removed that compulsion from me once again. I am sure that my wife wishes that it was a permanent healing and not just a special South American dispensation. I am struck by how much the people here love to be with each other, within in the church and just the culture as a whole.

Everywhere you look you see people sitting and talking, enjoying the day and each other´s company. This starts in the morning and lasts until after 10:00pm. There seems to always be activity on the streets and at the little shops that surround it. The people here seem to have grasped the idea of living in the moment and making the most of it. They don´t wait for the weekend or retirement to enjoy life. ¨ I am living life right now so why not enjoy it right now?¨

I think that we could learn from that

Adios

Hello Wayno,

As I write to you today I'm on vacation with family in beautiful BC - and really enjoying "Bolivian Time" to the fullest. I too think that our Bolivian brothers and sisters have so much to teach us about 'living in the moment'. Please be assured of our continuing prayers for you and the team.

Best Regards,
DALE.
