The airplane tickets arrived and when I looked at them, the reality of our upcoming trip to Bolivia came into sharp focus - we are actually soon to fly to Toronto then Lima and 27 hours later into Cochabamba!
I have also been emailing Ivan G., our translator & guide when we are in Bolivia and again the details he is providing and the clarification of where we will be and when, is also bringing the reality of this trip home to me.
Just today, Ivan said that I would be preaching in the Spanish Service in the Cochabamba First Baptist Church service on Sunday, the 15th. That should be quite an experience. Later on Sunday we will fly to Tarija and if there is time, we will attend a church service that night and I will preach again in one church and Paul M. will preach in another church. At the same time, we think, members of the team will be giving lessons to the children.
It will be a very interesting and challenging experience for us all, I am sure.

Henry, I will be thinking of you as you preach with the help of a translator. That's next Sunday! You may not know the people of the congregation personally or their lives but you do know the conditions of the human heart. They are not so different around the world. God will surely be with you.
